Repeat prescriptions can be ordered the following ways;
By visiting the surgery
By post (include SAE)
Via EMIS access (see staff for details).
Via your regular Pharmacy - Some offer an order, collection and delivery service - check with them for details.
In all cases, please allow two full working days before collecting your repeat prescriptions.
Note: If you are housebound, you may make repeat medication requests via telephone at the sole discretion of the GP Partner.
Please note: As a Practice we follow PCT Medicines Management Team Guidance and repeat prescriptions will be for one months supply only. Some exceptions exist, such as the Contraceptive Pill and Hormone Replacement Therapy but, as a general rule, you will only receive one months supply of each repeat medication.
As a Practice we take our responsibility to monitor prescription drugs seriously. Some drugs are powerful pharmaceuticals which are only licensed for use under strict medical supervision, hence we need to ensure that all patient monitoring, Blood Pressure, Blood Tests, Health Checks etc, are carried out at appropriate intervals to guarantee that the best possible healthcare is delivered to our patients.
We apologise if these test requests are not always convenient, however, they are always requested with your best interest in mind.
Note: If you are paying for more than four items in three months, or more than fourteen items in a year, you may find that it is cost effective to obtain a Pre-Payment Certificate - see link below.
